It's Official: CARLOS CAVAZO To Replace JOHN CORABI In RATT
August 18, 2008Following weeks of rumors and speculation, RATT drummer Bobby Blotzer has confirmed that former QUIET RIOT guitarist Carlos Cavazo will be joining the group as the replacement for rhythm guitarist John Corabi (former MÖTLEY CRÜE singer). According to Blotzer, "we have been rehearsing with Carlos and it sounds pretty freakin cool. He'll be playing his first show with us in Baton Rouge, Lousiana on August 27. Then New Orleans on August 28; Houston, August 29; Calgary, Canada, August 31. So come on out to the show and rock with us!! Crab [Corabi] has one last show that he's committed to with us on September 5 in Virginia Beach."
Hard Rock Hideout has posted video footage (see below) of RATT's August 7, 2008 performance at the Annie's Entertainment Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
RATT celebrated the "Year Of The Ratt" with a very special West Coast U.S. run of dates in April. In honor of their Southern California roots, the band embarked on a four-show mini-tour to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the "Ratt" EP.
RATT recently performed the entire EP along with other RATT faves live on the nationally syndicated radio show "Rockline" to an overwhelming response. Host Bob Coburn expressed that he was "totally blown away" by RATT and that they "flat-out kicked ass" as they delivered one of the best shows in the 27 years of "Rockline".
